Why does my shirt have a vinegar smell?
Sometimes when unwrapping a new sweatshirt, hoodie, or shirt from MoviTees, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or very tiny strips of an off-white residue. Don't worry, that's not unusual - it's from a fixation agent applied during the printing process, and it's not permanent.
During pre-treatment of the garment, a fixation agent is used to help the ink bond with the fabric. Without the fixation agent, the ink would only flake off.
The solution is to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent, and both will go away after the first wash.
